Last year you became the 2014 Nordic champion in Bodybuilding -80kg class, can you describe the feeling you got when you realized that you won?
It was one of the biggest contests I participated and of course the imput I had put into it just made me realize how much I enjoy doing it and how much I am passionated for this sport. Kind of impossible to discribe the feeling, but I do feel very proud of myself! Specially to win the tittle here in Iceland and keep the troffy and honour the country.
Do you put a lot of time and effort into your posing routine?
I always pose a little bit during my trainings, I do not have a scheduled time to pose. Usually closer to the competitions I do it more often for at least 1hr of my day.
Where do you work?
I have several working places. However, I just signed acontract that I cannot yet reveal!
How does it work combining work and preparing for a competition?
Difficult, but I have it as fun! it pushed me to my limit and I enjoy chalenges.
Why did you decide to compete in bodybuilding for the first time?
Seven year ago, when I arrived in Iceland, I needed to find something to motivate myself, I used to play futbool but unfortunatelly I broke my knee. I could no longer play the sport. So I joined Word Class and started pushing on the lifting. When the first changes on my body started showing, I got even more motivated, I started following the sport and decided to compete. A lot of dicipline and hard work involved, I always want more, I always want to see my body developing.

What is your background in sports?
Footbol and boxing.
Do you feel that your background in other sports helped you in fitness?
Yes it does! Specially futbool a great cardio exercise.
Do you have the support of your family?
My family is in Panama, but they do support me, they follow all my contests and indeed they are very proud of my outcome.
What is your goal within the sport?
To became a PRO, and to continue to be a motivation to many!

The combination of Phill Heath and Ullisses Jr.

World Class Iceland
Do you have a training partner?
No I don´t. But I have few friends joining me and whoever wants to join, always welcome!
How is a typical day in your life?
Wake up early morning, cardio, work, back to the gym, then work again. My daily routine, usually starts at 8am til midnight, eating every 2,5hr.
How many times a week do you train?
5 to 6 days a week.
How is your training program?
Mondays: legs - Tuesdays: chest and biceps - Wednesdays: back and triceps - Thursdays: shoulders - Fridays: hamstrings - Saturdays: arms. Cardio every day early morning except the day after legs. My routine changes every 2 weeks, it all depends on my weak parts.
What is your favorite body part to train?
I like traning all my body parts!
What is your favorite exercise?
Incline Dumbbell Press
Do you take any posing classes?
Yes I do prior to competition, with iFitness and Kempo Islands.
Do you weigh your food during cutting cycle?
Yes, meal by meal are prepared with the exact amount made by Galery Fiskur. I do have my own menu, also vailable to everyone.
What is your favorite meal when you are cutting down?
When I am cutting down, I don´t have a favorite meal, I just eat what I need to. Otherwise I won´t see any results.
What is your favorite meal in the offseason?
Steak - ribeye
Do you listen to music while you train?
Yes, I listen to Hiphop
Do you carb deplete and carb load before a competition?
Yes, but it also depends on the category and on my shape
What do you need to work on for your next competition?
Calves, it is my weakest part.
Why, in your opinion, do you think that Icelandic fitness and bodybuilding competitors are doing so well abroad?
Effort, and I celand have really good competitors and mostly are international level, so I believe we all have the same reason. Winning and bringing the tittle to the country and keep the sport within the country growing.
Are you interested in competing abroad?
Yes, I have been already several of times. Soon I will be competing on the European Championship for the second time.
How important is it to have good sponsors?
It is really important. Sponsorship helps on the development of the athlete 100%! I personally like to always give them something back in return. All my titles are also to honor my sponsors support as well.
